The side panel that slides out of the cot can be lifted and lowered with a simple push of a single button. This makes it easy to reach inside and soothe a crying baby in the night. It also has 11 height adjustments that let it accommodate the mattress of nearly any size bed and it includes adjustable folding feet to ensure that it's placed at just the right height.
In terms of safety, the cot is padded and fitted with mesh sides for increased airflow, and the mattress is made of high-density foam to provide extra protection. It can also be cleaned and you can keep the cot clean. It includes a fitted mattress sheet that is suitable for a crib.
The Roomie Glide, unlike some other bedside cribs is compatible with a wide range of beds, including divans. This is due to the straps and clips which connect it. It can also be used as a standalone crib when it is not attached to the bed. It comes with a variety of incredible features that were designed with the idea of parent-child bonding in mind.
It is essential to keep in mind that this crib won't last as long as when your baby turns six months. You'll need to purchase a larger cot. However, overall Roanna found that the Joie Roomie Glide was a very good purchase and she especially liked its elegant design.
The Roomie Glide is available to purchase from John Lewis for PS160, which Roanna felt was a reasonable cost for a cot that has the most advanced features. She was pleased with the way it looked in her bedroom, and thought its gray color would be appropriate for the majority of modern homes. She also mentioned that it's not an ideal idea to rock a baby younger because it can cause an unfavourable sleep pattern for later.
The Tutti Bambini CoZee
The Tutti Bambini CoZee bedside crib is designed to give you the best sleep possible. It features a drop-side rail that is able to be easily adjusted to feed your child in the evening without disturbing them or getting out of bed. This is ideal for mothers who breastfeed! It's also lightweight and easy to move around during naps or when traveling.
We love that it's made from soft materials with mesh sides that are breathable, which promote airflow and comfort. It's available in charcoal and oak, with a range of melange fabrics that work well with a variety of decor styles. Anna found that it was sturdy and secure after being affixed to her bed. The legs slid into place and the zippers were secured for security. It took her about 10 minutes to put together and did not require tools, and comes with clear instructions and a video as well as a customer support contact number should you encounter any problems.

As well as the usual features you'd expect from a crib that is bedside such as the ability to be connected to your existing bed with a stay-in place connection system and six levels of height The CoZee comes with an additional incline option that can be used to alleviate reflux or congestion in infants. If you're looking to keep your baby close during the first six months as they're beginning to learn to sleep independently, the CoZee is a great choice because it can be used as a stand-alone crib, changing table and toddler bed. It can be turned into a sofa bed by the addition of an extension pack. And while it isn't able to feed your baby, or magically make them sleep, it will rock them until they go off!
The Chicco Next2Me Magic
This is one of Chicco’s more expensive alternatives. It does have many great features. It can be used either a side-sleeper or as a standalone crib, and is suitable for babies from birth to six months. It's easy to open and close the side panel using a brand new mechanism. It's also more adjustable than its predecessor, with 11 different height levels as well as feet that retract to place under any bed.
Our testers loved the ease of access the side panel provides, which can be flipped up and down by pressing a button. This was especially helpful in the evening when feeding time was over, since they could reach in and pick up their baby without disturbing them.
It is possible to lower the side panel by itself, but this isn't recommended, since it increases the likelihood that your child will fall out of the cot. The safety locking system guarantees that the side panel will only remain in place if it's attached correctly to the mattress of the parent. This is a wonderful feature to have for peace of mind, particularly if you're breastfeeding and require frequent night feeds.
The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to be compatible with any bed that is divan-based as well as beds with drawers thanks to the legs that telescopic. It also comes with a tilting function for babies with reflux and a rocking feature to help them sleep after eating. It's also extremely spacious and has excellent ventilation due to its mesh sides.
Our testers found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, though it does come with lengthy instructions. It's heavier than some of the other side-sleepers, however it's quite mobile and can be moved from room to room with ease. It's also foldable into a bag for travel, which is ideal for those who want to transport it. The only negative our test subjects found was that the side panel didn't stretch as much as other models. This made it a little harder to observe your baby from the bed.

The Shnuggle Air bedside crib is a great option if you want an infant crib that will grow with your child. It's a co-sleeping crib that attaches securely to your bed and can be transformed into a stylish cot once your baby is old enough. Ideal for feeding at night and enhancing the bond you have with your baby's new.
Unlike some other models of bedside cribs The Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. The mesh side panels with dual-view as well as the hypoallergenic, breathable airflow mattress maximize airflow and keep your baby cool and comfortable. In our tests we noticed the smooth motion of the next-to-me crib to be particularly useful in lulling babies back to sleep after midday and nighttime feeds. The drop-down sides make it easy to feed or soothe babies during the night. This was a major selling point for our exhausted moms who took part in our tests. Although it doesn't rock, or have additional features, like a sound system, the Joie Roomie Slide's elegant design and practicality are a welcome addition our best bedside crib reviews.
